School aged students (Kindergarten - Year 12) are welcome to enrol in our school if they meet the following criteria:
- Their anticipated hospital admission is for five days or more or;
- They are admitted on a regular basis or;
- They are referred under special needs.
Students will either attend a classroom or be visited in a ward by a teacher if necessary. Siblings are welcome to attend the school after enrolment has been processed.
Parents/caregivers will need to fill out an enrolment form before their child can begin with us. Once processed, a shared enrolment is set up with the student's census school who will receive a notification. The student's Hospital School Teacher will contact the census school to discuss work, topics, goals etc, which will be adjusted to meet the student's current needs.
We acknowledge that school attendance will vary according to a student's medical needs and we are very flexible and accommodating to support this.
